Střekov castle belongs to the best preserved castle ruins in the Czech Republic. It is a symbol of the city Usti nad Labem. 

Střekov is known for its idyllic atmosphere and fascinating views across the Elbe River Valley, J. W. Goethe described the castle as one of the most beautiful in Europe. Richard Wagner's visit inspired to compose an opera Tannhäuser. 

Today, at the castle is located historical exhibition, which includes photograps and drawings of the castle, replica guns and three-dimensional wooden model of the castle complex. Regularly also held occasional exhibitions. 

During the season it offers the opportunity to visit large castle terrace with breathtaking view of the Elbe River. You should also try their amazing homemade limonade, offered during season. What this better than drinking limonade with friends and watching the beautiful landscape? 

The entrance inside the castle costs 55 CZK for students, so don't forget to take your student card. You will get information in english.
